quick guide

Pain - what can we help with?

  1. Low back pain and stiffness
  2. Nerve pain (sciatica) into the leg
  3. Mid back pain
  4. Neck pain and stiffness
  5. Nerve pain into the arm and hand
  6. Headaches
  7. Jaw pain and clicking
  8. Hip and knee and ankle / foot pain and stiffness
  9. Shoulder and elbow (tennis elbow) and hand pain and stiffness

What's actually hurting?

  1. Discs - these separate each vertebrae
  2. Joints - these connect each side of the vertebrae to another vertebrae
  3. Muscles - these move and support the spine
  4. Tendons and ligaments - these support muscles and bones
  5. Nerves - as well as transmitting information, nerves can hurt in their own right!

How do we treat?

  1. Muscle techniques - such as pressure, massage etc.
  2. Joint stretching - to improve flexibility of joints
  3. Joint manipulation - to free up stiff joints
  4. Acupuncture - used to treat sore muscles

Acupuncture and manipulation will only be used on patients who have been carefully screened to make sure these techniques will both help and be exceptionally safe, AND if the patient is happy with it!
