Epidural Steroid Injections For Lumbar Disc Herniations ...

Does the steroid (a potent anti-inflammatory) contained in a lumbar injection (an injection to relieve pain from a bulging disc causing back pain) actually add value above and beyond the local anaesthetic also contained in the injection?

Possibly not according to the following report …

Lifting things may be a good exercise after all!

I am more and more convinced that a stronger back comes from increasingly using the spine and hips to lift things off the floor, whether this be at the gym or during every day activities.

Clearly, good technique is vital as is a knowledge of your 'limits'.

But sensible lifting WILL make your back stronger!
