The importance of a good night's sleep ...

Researchers have found that during so-called 'deep sleep' the brain is surprisingly active and does important work in consolidating memories from the day before.

It further strengthens the point that getting a consistently sound nights sleep is a fundamentally important health goal for all of us.

We focus a lot on exercise, on weight, and on diet - but less attention is paid to the quality and quantity of our sleep pattern than should be.
